VIRGINIA RIFLE AND PISTOL CLUB INFORMATION/RULES

 

GATE LOCK combinations will be noted on the back of each year’s membership card and are changed yearly on/about the first Sunday in February. Please do NOT give the combination to non-members, and be sure to lock the lock when you leave AND lock the lock on the chain when the gate is open. PLEASE do not block the gate at any time.

 

CLUB HOUSE AND GARAGE KEYS can be obtained only through BISS LOCK INC. 1218 2nd Ave. S Virginia.  You will need a current membership card for your first set and any replacement keys.

 

LOCK THE CLUB HOUSE/GARAGE or other club buildings when you leave the range if the range is otherwise unoccupied. 

 

NO TRAP OR OTHER BREAKABLE TARGETS on the range EXCEPT clay targets from the 500 yd point on the back range shooting DOWN RANGE.

 

NO HUNTING OR TRAPPING ON THE RANGE

 

BACK RANGE/LONG RANGE shooters close the gates at each shooting line downrange of your firing point to keep people from crossing your line of fire!!! Remember to re-open the gates after you finish.

 

STEEL TARGETS- No jacketed ammo (lead or plated only) on any steel targets except “sacrificial” targets on the long range.

 

GUESTS must be accompanied by a club member.

 

180 DEGREE RULE AND ALL OTHER SAFE GUN HANDLING PRACTICES are in effect at all times. Unsafe or careless handling of firearms will NOT be tolerated and can result in revocation of your membership!!!

 

POLICE YOUR AREA and use proper trash barrels in the storage building, put back what you use and fix any items (target frames etc) you may have damaged.

 

PETS must be kept under control at all times, and please clean up after your pets!

 

ENJOY club events and projects and help out when you can.  Your talents and resources are welcome! Use your common sense-safety always is first, fun second.
